I am excited to announce some changes….
As many of you are aware, 2013 was a challenging one for me personally and professionally. This time last year, I was working way more than what was healthy for my family. Because I love what I do so very much, I had let boundaries down at home. I was no longer able to do the things that I wanted to do with my family – all the things that were the reasons why I started my business in the first place. And then when our son and daughter were in an accident while on Spring Break, perspective immediately changed for me. I no longer had the option for work being my #1 priority. And for this mother of 4 who was seriously contemplating quitting the business that I had worked so hard to build, this reality that my family was most important, was one of the best things that has every happened to me. This forced me to make changes that were good for me on a personal level as well as good for my business. And one of those changes that has been great for me professionally is acknowledging that I am only one person and can only do so much on my own.
My ultimate goal as your photographer is to serve you. I want to give you a great experience and images that you are proud to hang in your home or display in your office at work. I’ve had so many of you tell me that you never printed images from the CD’s you have purchased. So I have hired an assistant who is helping me with several organizational things as well as being a consultant. She will be helping you with your orders. She has an amazing gift for decorating on a budget and has some really great ideas on how to maximize your mercymae experience so that you can figure out the best way to display your beautiful images. I brought her on staff in January and we have been working hard together to make sure we are able to serve you to the absolute best of our ability.
Meet Stacey ~
I am so excited to be a part of mercymae Photography!
I have known Shannon for several years now and I remember when photography was just a dream for her. It has been such a privilege for me to pray with her and watch this dream she had become a reality. I never imagined that one day I would be included in that dream!
A little about me… I am a Christ-follower and am so blessed to be a part of an amazing church where I served as the children’s pastor until I became a mommy. I have been married to my incredibly sweet husband, Philip, for 10 years and we are over the moon in love with our very energetic four year old son Elijah. A few years ago I was diagnosed with MANY food allergies and had to completely overhaul my diet. That led me to discover that I LOVE to cook, bake and find creative ways to make meals that are allergy-free, healthy and still taste great! My husband and I are HUGE Disney fans. We began going to Walt Disney World 10 years ago for our honeymoon and have continued to go every year since. Our obsession has been successfully passed on to our son who now daily asks, “When are we going back?” I love my family dearly and have the best parents, siblings and in-laws a girl could ask for. I love to dance, decorate, organize and to unashamedly eat almond butter out of the jar. I look forward to meeting you and helping you get the most out of your experience with mercymae!
Elijah had his own idea of posing for a few shots….
and he wanted to take a picture of Mom & Dad – but was clearly not aiming right so they had to bend way over to get in the shot
