I hope you had an amazing Fourth of July!
We slipped away this week to simply relax together as a family. One last calm before the storm if you will since we move in less than a month!
Being a Pastor’s kid can be hard sometimes…like when your parents call you and your siblings downstairs and ask you to pray about moving. My girls have been so wise and positive about this whole process. They have taught me so much.
This past Wednesday was this sweet girl’s 15th birthday. (this photo is from her bday 2 years ago but it shows how beautiful she is and we haven’t taken this year’s pics yet) If I had to sum Illiza Mae up, I would have to use the meanings of her first and middle name. Illiza is a derivative of Elizabeth which means “Consecrated to God” and Mae means “Great Discerner”
Sometimes being the middle child is rough but this girl holds her own. She is equally wise and nurturing and fun. No one laughs like this girl. No one loves like this girl. No one can roll their eyes like this girl. She is the sweet surprise God had in mind for us. She is kid #3 and came only 15 months after kid #2. I cannot imagine life without her. She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside and she sings like an angel.
