The last 24 months have probably been the most busy, the most fulfilling and the most challenging months of my life. Someday I will share more thoughts about what God has taught me in these last 2 years…. Last week, my oldest daughter, my second born child moved away from home. We as parents spend so much time telling our kids what to do, how to do it…how to make wise choices, how to pray, how to love God and serve others. We try to cram enough wisdom and teaching into our kids in a brief 18 years to last a lifetime. Well, my sweet Isabelle moved out on her… Keep Reading
It’s surreal. I have a son in the military. He’s a US Coast Guardsman. You have to understand that my father was active duty in the Army most of my childhood. I never even had a clue what the Coast Guard was about or what the heck they do. So when my son, Isaiah, told us he wanted to join the Coast Guard, I started seeing Coastie stuff everywhere. Let me tell you a little bit about Isaiah. He is our oldest of 4 kids. He is our only son. He was reading at 4 years old and has been blowing me away ever since with his ability to… Keep Reading
December 24th, 2006, my family moved from York, Pennsylvania to Olive Branch Mississippi. Olive Branch. Peace. Olive Branch was where we went to find peace. It was the hardest and most peace-filled 18 months for our family of 6. It’s where we reset ourselves as a family unit. It was a great and hard 18 months. Late in 2007, Freddy accepted a position as the Worship Leader at a church in Humble, Texas (the H is SILENT). The kids and I followed him 6 months later. Humble Texas. Humble. Humility. I learned more about my own selfish pride and how vain I was. It was a great and hard… Keep Reading
This sweet boy and his big sister have been coming to me since Lucas was a baby. Their mom has become a dear friend and I always enjoy photographing them. They are so quick to listen and they have so much joy. There is a special bond between this brother/sister duo. I am so grateful to capture memories time and time again.
We have 4 kids. One boy and 3 girls. Our son is the oldest. I found out I was pregnant with him on my 21st birthday. Hands down, the best birthday gift ever. I am proud of Isaiah. My Dad who is a Retired US Army Colonel had the honor of swearing Isaiah into the US Coast Guard. Today was a fantastic day in the colorful story of my family’s life. Isaiah not only has the support of his immediate family, he is loved and respected by his wonderful girlfriend and we are so thankful for the way she supports him. God has been so good to my family!
