Being in Ministry, we haven’t lived near family since we got married except for a brief time right about the time our son was born 17+ years ago when we lived in Virginia Beach and my Dad and Stepmom (best stepmom ever btw) lived in Hampton, Va which was practically next door even though you had to drive across a bridge that had a tunnel under the ocean to get there. It was awesome having family close by. Then we moved to Alabama. And about a year after we’d been there, my sister moved there. About 18 months later, we both moved from there… but during the time we lived near each other, My 2nd child and her first were born. I was in the delivery room with her when her 1st was born. Caleb. Caleb Asher. I have loved this kid since before I ever saw him. He is fiesty, sarcastic, he used to be rambunctious but has pretty much grown out of that (THANK GOD – all you moms of boys ranging from 6-12 know why I say THANK GOD), he is the most artistic kid I’ve ever been around. He can pick up a pencil and draw just about anything and it looks like it’s supposed to.
My Sister and her kids are all living a couple miles from us and I am having the time of my life watching her kids live life alongside of my kids. Cousins. This is how life is supposed to be! Caleb Asher turned 13 on Oct 1st and it was so great to get to celebrate with him…IN PERSON 🙂
And of course Uh-Feddy (Uncle Freddy) is totally wrapped around baby sister’s finger..
